Mission of the Position:
To perform various finance functions in a timely manner and with a high standard of excellence while also tackling projects and ad hoc requests maintaining a focus on teamwork, efficiency and self-improvement.
 
Scope:
The Senior Financial Analyst is an individual contributor role in the Finance department that reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. This position is responsible for: 
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly P&L forecasts, 6+6 Forecast, & annual budget 
  • Timely and accurate preparation of monthly management reporting packages with variance analysis and commentary versus budget and prior year
  • Assist with ad hoc modeling, reporting, and analysis as required
  • Coordinate with Payroll & HR to provide monthly headcount reporting 
  • Become a subject matter expert in our Company Store Profit & Loss statements and IT Maintenance Spend
  • Understand our key systems (General Ledger, Expense Platform, Power BI, Excel, Solver, Data Warehouse, etc.) to pull data, build reports, analyze trends and provide insights to help with strategic decision making
Key Criteria/Requirements:
Required: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in corporate finance or related analytical field
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel with modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas 
  • Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with data visualization – using Excel or other tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work effectively with non-finance departments, including Operations, IT, HR and leadership team
  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude but able to work independently
Preferred: 
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Power BI 
  • Experience with building reporting dashboards
  • Experience with system implementations or testing reports
Physical Requirements: 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • Minimum of 3 days at the Support Center and 2 days working remotely
